Named “a talent to watch” by The Hollywood Reporter, Matthew is a writer, filmmaker and lawyer based in NYC. He wrote and directed the psychological thriller THE SKIN OF THE TEETH, which premiered at Newfest and Outfest and was described as "Get Out meets Grindr" and lauded as “an example of visibility done right.”
His fiction and journalism has been published in The New Republic, Maudlin House, Andromeda Spaceways, and The Awl, among others. He is a graduate of the Tin House Speculative Fiction Workshop and the Sackett Street Writers Workshop.
He is also a lawyer and litigator working on a range of antidiscrimination issues, including securing the right to abortion in Ohio and challenging Virginia’s felon disenfranchisement scheme.
